Initial Consultation
At Southeast Cosmetic Gynecology we take patient education seriously. Our goal is to provide you with clear and comprehensive information before you commit to any surgical procedure. Each prospective patient is required to meet with our Patient Liaison, a Registered Nurse, who will confidentially review our approach, procedures, and costs with you and answer any questions you may have prior to meeting with our physicians.
There are no charges associated with the Initial Consultation which may be conducted via phone, Internet, or through private office appointments. Our consultation room is quiet and comfortable and is accessible without having to enter a lobby or check-in desk.
If you are interested in pursuing surgery after your Initial Consultation then an appointment will be made for you to meet with one of our physicians.
If there are any psychological issues related to your decision to undergo these procedures Southeast Cosmetic Gynecology has partnered with a Board-Certified Sex Therapist to offer consultation if desired.

Physician Consultation
Following your Initial Consultation with our Patient Liaison, and before your Physician Consultation, we must obtain basic demographic and medical history information. This information should be completed prior to your initial visit.
This form can be downloaded by clicking here:
Once all of your medical information has been reviewed, your Patient Liaison will escort you to the exam room and remain with you during your consultation. The Physician Consultation provides you with the opportunity to meet your doctor, have a physical examination, and discuss surgical procedures and options.
If you decide at this time to proceed with surgery, you and your doctor will sign the proper consent forms and your Patient Liaison will escort you back to the consultation room where she will assist you with scheduling, pre-operative instructions, and discuss payment. You will be provided with a Patient Packet including a written price quote, instructions for preparing for surgery, your scheduled surgery day, and post-operative care instructions.
If you decide not to proceed with surgery after your Physician Consult, we will be happy to provide you with any additional information for your future consideration. There are no fees associated with your Physician Consultation. |

Day of Surgery
Your surgery will be conducted as an out-patient procedure at one of our participating surgery centers. Your surgery will typically last between 1 and 2 hours. In most cases you will be allowed to go home 2-4 hours after your surgery depending on how you feel. Overnight accommodations are available when needed. Your doctor and anesthesiologist will visit with you prior to surgery and your doctor will see you again afterwards to monitor your recovery process. |

Post-Operative Visit & Follow-Up
You will be scheduled to come to our office for a post-operative check-up with your doctor 3-4 days following your surgery. Your Patient Liaison will be available by phone should you have any post-operative questions, concerns, or needs. She can also expedite any communication with your doctor following your procedure if required. |
